We normally use P20/SC45 steel as chair mold steel. The mold steel hardness normally will make to 28-32. And the chair material is normally in PP,PC, and some customer also like to use PP with CaCO3. Add CaCO3 could make the chair more strength, and the shrinkage mark will be better.
For the chair mold gate, most customer prefer to use cold runner big gate. And use ejector pin to demold.

But for the chair mold, some parts also need to be noticed before mold making:
1.parting line position,otherwise the touch is not smooth
2. air vent: due to most gate is big gate, then the material will come in one place in final, if the air vent is not good, then some part might will have air trap.
3. Stack way: the stack height need to consider when we make the product design.
