PC cup molds basic structure consists of mold cavity& core, gate, runner, cooling system( water cooling lines), ejector system, guide system( guide pin,bush,etc). But Some cup outside shape is irregular or protruding, then a slider is needed.

For the PC cup molds, when you make the mold design, due to the cup thickness normally will be 0.5-5mm.This thickness is very thick, will increase the cycle time, and the PC material temperature need to be 80-120degree, so that the cooling line is very important. And to reduce the cycle time,could considered to make the BECU on the cavity or core.

For the gate, normally use hot runner, it is could save some material.

PC cup molds have extremely high requirements for surface finish. Commonly used mold steels include S136/NAK80/2344 etc. And all surface will be mirror polish.
