Battery box is widely use in auto parts,electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, logistics vehicles, etc., which have a lot of room to improve battery running time and lasting life.
At present, there are several different types of batteries, such as lead-acid batteries, lithium-ion batteries, UPS batteries and so on.The outer container of the battery is made of plastic injection battery box molding, usually we use PP, ABS, FR-ABS as raw materials, these materials are insulated and can withstand high pressure testing.
For the battery box mold steel could use P20, 718H,H13, S136 steel. And for the gate, we also recommend to use multi-tip hot runner/cold runner on the box bottom, then the flow will be more balance. For the core plate, we prefer to make as a insert, then the cooling will be better.
For the battery box mold, here are many ribs. If the rib thickness is same as main thickness, then the ribs are easy to out of shape. The rib thickness need to be smaller than main thickness.
And to ensure the battery box mold first trial could successful, we will make the mold flow analysis, it is could show that if any place easy to out of shape , air trapping, weld line etc.
