What does the runner system for your current plastic bobbin mould? Is cold runner, or hot runner? If is cold runner, then big gate or submarine gate or side gate...? Have you ever tried with 3-plate system for your plastic bobbin mould?
Our plastic bobbin mould in this picture, is with 3-plate (tri-plate) cold runner system. The injection point is on top surface of the bobbins, side surfaces of the bobbins are smooth, will not influence your cotton/silk threads. And injection point on each bobbin is very small, not influence the beauty of the bobbin. Duing ejection, the waste runner and bobbins will seperate automatically.
While you try cold runner side gate system, the side surface of the bobbin will have runner flash, which is not good for cotton/silk threads. Even with cold runner big gate, you have to take time to cut the runners and surface of the plastic bobbin will not so good or beautiful.
Above all, a 3-plate plastic bobbin mould is more econimical and could save a lot your human production time and human cost, more efficient.
