1.Preparation before injection pipe fitting mold design

Before designing an injection mold, you need to prepare a design brief and be familiar with the plastic parts, including their geometry, usage requirements, and raw materials. Check the molding processability of the plastic parts and clarify the model and specifications of the injection molding machine.

2. Prepare a molding order form

When preparing a pipe fitting molding order form, you need to record the product profile, such as a schematic diagram, weight, wall thickness, etc., as well as the profile of the plastic used in the product, such as product name, model, etc. You also need to record the main technical parameters of the selected injection molding machine, such as the relevant dimensions between the injection molding machine and the installed mold, the screw type, etc. At the same time, you need to clarify the pressure and stroke of the injection molding machine, as well as the injection molding conditions, such as temperature, pressure, speed, clamping force, etc.

3. Pipe fitting Injection mold structure design

Injection molds are mainly composed of molding parts, pouring systems, guide parts, ejection mechanisms, temperature control systems, exhaust systems and supporting parts. The following steps should be followed during design:
1. Determine the number of cavities, considering the maximum injection volume, clamping force, product precision requirements and economy.
2. Select the parting surface, the principle should be simple mold structure, easy parting and no impact on the appearance and use of plastic parts.
3. Determine the cavity layout plan, and use a balanced arrangement as much as possible.
4. Design the pouring system, including main runners, branch runners, gates, cold material holes, etc.
5. Determine the demoulding method, and design different demoulding methods according to the different parts of the mold where the plastic parts remain.
6. Design the temperature control system, which is mainly determined by the type of plastic.
7. Determine the exhaust form. Generally, exhaust can use the gap between the mold parting surface and the ejection mechanism and the mold. For large and high-speed injection molds, corresponding exhaust forms must be designed.

4. Mold processing and production

When processing injection molds, it is necessary to do the steps of marking, cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping and welding. Pay attention to using the correct tools and methods to avoid damaging the mold and equipment. After processing, the mold needs to be quality inspected and accepted to ensure that it meets the requirements.

5. Mold debugging and optimization

After the mold is made, it is necessary to test the mold, and make necessary adjustments and trimming to the mold according to the test results to ensure that it meets the production needs. At the same time, the mold needs to be surface treated, such as coating, painting, etc., to improve the corrosion resistance and surface texture of the mold.

6. Mold maintenance and care

When using injection molds, regular inspection and maintenance are required to ensure their normal operation. Pay attention to keeping the mold clean and rust-proof to extend the service life of the mold. At the same time, the mold needs to be regularly inspected and replaced to ensure production efficiency and product quality.
Following the above guidelines can ensure the design, processing, debugging, optimization and maintenance of plastic pipe injection molds.
