Plastic bottles are made of PET preform mold and blow mold. Bottles touches every aspect of our lives, such as mineral water bottles, tea beverage bottles, soda and carbonated beverage bottles, edible oil bottles, cosmetics bottles, detergent bottles and candy cans,etc. Today we talk with the preform mold first.
For the preform mold, as the bottle are normally use PET material, so that for the mold base, we normally recommend to use P20 steel with S136 steel. Due to after queching, S136 steel hardness will reach to 48-52, and mirror polishing products, S136 steel wll be more durable.
Then how to quote the preform mold price, it is depend on three parts:
1. The bottle weight
2. The bottle head diameter
3. The bottle volume
This three parts will effect the preform thickness, length.
According to the marketing different demand, we also could supply the different weight and shape design idea, to make the interchangeable parts(like thread, weight, cavity,core,etc) to come true the mold use same mold base but produce different preform. We could supply 1/2/4/8/12/16/24/32/48/64/72/96/112/144.. cavities preform mold to you.
And for the preform mold spare parts, it is little different with normal injection molds. Normal injection mold will have o-ring, ejector pins, bolt, etc. The preform mold spare parts will have cavity and core insert, and normal injection molds spare parts. But the free cavity and core number will be 6-cavity will have 1 free spare part.
